| Holding On
The Line I want to thank You for my problems, And
I thank You for my pain, For now I know without them, Lord, I'd never really
know Your name. When Life is easy
we relax, And though there's time to sit, We can't "work" You
in our schedule, You just don't seem to fit. But
after problems come, then level out, We start asking and reflecting, We
haven't spoken to you much And might be guilty of rejecting. That's
because we don't need your help When things are working out just find, Then
we think You just might be still holding on the "line." That's
what I did, I called You up, But strayed on the line with You, I kept praying
and discovering The many things You love to do. You
love to answer prayers, You love for us to learn About You, how You operate; You
love for us to show concern. I'm
enjoying life so much more, Except the brokeness that's done, But I've learned
it's necessary For my victory to be won So
now I won't just call on You When I feel I'm in trouble, I'll thank you
when blessings come In single file or in double. Because
You're in my problems, And of course, You're in my blessings; You're in
everything, oh Lord, In every way, Your love expressing. |
