I Give You My Burdens

Father, I give my burdens to You,
I can do nothing else; that's all I can do.
This day I am facing, I place in Your care,
You asked this of me and I know You are there.

You're there in my day before I awake,
And I know I am safe when I ask You to take
All of my problems, hurt feelings, and all
And wrap them tightly in one little ball.

You can do much more with my problems than I,
They can disappear quickly in the starry night sky.
Whatever you want to do; it's your choice,
But with them in Your hands I've the right to rejoice.

I won't ask for them back or take them from You.
All that I want is for them to get through.
Your ways are gentle; You handle with care,
I know You love me, so I make this my prayer.

Sea Of Nothingness

I want to give it all to You,
All these things that hold me down,
I want to lay them at Your feet,
So You can help me to rebound.

I want to move this debris away,
So my path to You is free and clear,
Then I can run to You with open arms,
And see Your smile as I draw near.

I've been "at sea" all my life,
Where nothingness has been my friend;
I long for You to find me, Lord,
So my nothingness will finally end.

Welcome, Born Again Christian

We welcome you so very much
To God's family, by His touch.
You've now received your salvation;
You're now a member of the Christian nation.

You'll be excited and surprised
At what will come to mind and eyes.
Another world is what you'll see,
And this will be for all eternity.

Your salvation won't be snatched away,
No matter what you hear them say.
Those who want what you now have,
Won't shed the clothes of earthly graves.

That's what it is, for you have just died
To earthly things you've now denied.
You died in Christ, and rose again,
Like a flower seed, and void of sin.

Remember, you're a new creation,
Born into the Christian nation.
You broke free from prison like a butterfly;
You'll grow more in beauty as each day goes by.
